Mayan women in Chiapas, Mexico, formed the last slab in a pyramid of exploitation. When the Zapatista Army rose in self-defence, women joined to also fight for justice in their own culture. After the Revolution explores the impact on their lives today through one very special family. The film explains the historical background through stop-motion animation using original dolls made by the indigenous women.
