Synopsis
Alcantara, an area in the NorthEast of Brasil, has two pecularities: it is just 80km away from the Equator, which makes it the best place to build aerospace sites, and it is home for several quilombo communities, who are descendants of the freed slaves, who are a cultural heritage for Brasil. The expansion of the space base and their calm life made of farming and fishing do not get along, and the communities are endangered by the plans of moving them from their homes to the inland. But they are organising to fight back.
