Synopsis
“Narodny albom” is a musical, set in Western Belarus, the territory which at the beginning of the 20th century was a part of Poland and there was huge ethnic, social, political and cultural diversity. We meet there different people: Belarussians, Poles, Jews, Russians and Germans. The songs are put into a story of the everyday life of the citizens in a small town, which is disturbed by Red Army intervention. The documentary tells the story of how young amateurs prepare and stage the musical, “Narodny albom”. They are young Belorussians together with young pupils from Poland .
