The border and the city of Trieste, Italian and Slovene, night and day, light and shadow, normality and madness, micro and macrocosms continually intertwine, penetrating one another through images and words to become one sole entity. This journey into places of transit, between the present and the past, through the lives of others, ends at dawn. This doc is a tribute to the diversity Trieste is living through. A complex reality, portrayed in the director’s effort to explore the lives of the people. By depicting their daily lives, these people, living on the margins of non-acceptance, resolve what prejudice and historical facts have wanted to keep hidden from our eyes. In a Trieste confined to itself, this film becomes a constructive, original contribution to turning over a new leaf.
