The film is on the work of "Chacrinha", the most innovative, transgressive and controversial Brazilian TV host ever, who died about 20 years ago. Far from biographical, "Alo, Alo, Terezinha" deals with the life of the "Chacretes" (astonishing TV dancers who Chacrinha introduced on television), the newcoming artists - many of them later became stars of Brazilian music - the characters, and Chacrinha's permanent challenges to the censorship.
