Synopsis
A comedy company from Teheran is kicked out of their theatre and find themselves with no place to play. Moved by the fate of the “Joy Makers” – as the improvising comedians of the Siah Bâzi are called - Ariane Mnouchkine invites them to the Théâtre du Soleil. Shadi is the only young actress of the company that made so many Iranians laugh and she is going to get out of Iran for the very first time. Just like her fellow comedians, she gets prepared for the tour that maybe will save them. But she first has got to fight tooth and nail with her husband to obtain his “travel permission”. Fortunately, she’s quite a character. In Paris, the encounter between the Joy Makers and Ariane Mnouchkine worries the accompanying director, who becomes very suspicious of the young woman…
