Synopsis
Is the essence of technology technological?
In the Amazon, on a hill surrounded on all sides by forest and far from global centres of technology, this question has brought together an indigenous leader, a shaman and a group of scientists.
One the one hand, the building of a cultural centre linked to the internet and the preservation of ancient indigenous traditions. On the other, a scientific research project with robots, identifying the richness of the local biodiversity, as well as setting up a complex system of environmental monitoring.
Permeating these two stories are myths, beliefs, visions of the world, dreams and economic power that blend together – or clash – exposing different layers of interpretation, ambiguity and conflicts of interest.
