Synopsis
Un petit coin de paradis relates the renaissance of Ossona in the Val d’Hérens, when a pilot project – aiming to make it an agro-tourist site – is initiated. Jacqueline Veuve’s camera follows the rehabilitation of this area, classified as a sustainable long-term development zone, as well as the work of its unusual «labourers», maladjusted adolescents from very different backgrounds. These young people attend an institution that supervises them as they restore this neglected hamlet, helped in their task by former local inhabitants who range between 75 and 90 years of age. Above all, the film depicts a wonderful human adventure and the encounter, sometimes fraught with pitfalls, of individuals with very different life experiences.
