Synopsis
There are moments in life that we all fear having to face. Moments when the end becomes more imminent; our own or that of a loved one. But there is a house called “Rive-Neuve”, a palliative care home, where we know that until that time we so apprehend, life can still enlighten and astonish us. Far from any preconceptions of a sinister and impersonal place to die, “D’une rive à l’autre” presents a living space where support rhymes with sharing and where the authenticity of human relationships allows fears to be expressed and confronted. Like the place we are invited to explore, the film presents, without pretence, the daily life of the house, with its joys and sorrows, but, above all, with a magnificent message of faith in human nature.
