In “The Marshal: Myth, Legend and Reality” we discover that Pedro Pardo de Cela, an individual from 15th century, comes back to modern times generating controversy. We discover that he is key to the history of Galicia. The documentary seeks to throw some light onto this character and the events in his life, which still affect today´s political and social reality in Galicia. Looking at the Marshal also means looking at the past, present and future of Galicia. In that sense, the documentary is not a conventional historical documentary. Instead, the Marshal´s character helps to try to explain what we are and what we once were, that is, to look back at the history of Galicia.
