Synopsis
This is a journey into time, memory, the Druze religion, and Israeli realities, set out to reveal whether Mu’in Halabi is alive:
First Sergeant Mu’in Halabi disappeared during the Yom Kippur War, on October 8th, 1973. After two weeks the IDF found his body, and Mu’in was buried in his hometown, Daliat el-Carmel.
A month later, a child was born in the Galilean village Mrar. At the age of four, the boy declared himself the reincarnation of Mu’in, capable of relating almost everything about him. However, in 1985 inhabitants of Daliat el-Carmel heard Mu’in speak on the Syrian state radio.
