Synopsis
VIVID DREAMS is a tribute to Arthur C. Clarke, science-fiction writer, screen-writer of “2001: A Space Odyssey” and inventor of satellites in geostationary orbit, born december 1917 and unfortunately, passed away in march 2008. The film tells the adventurous travel of an Italian film director to Sri Lanka, where Clarke lived, in an attempt to speak to him. After a long wait, spent wandering around the country and discovering aspects of Clarke’s life and work, the director is finally allowed to meet him and gather the final public statement of an old and wise men on his death bed. The words he speaks about the meaning of life, immortality and the future of humanity will be his last.
