Synopsis
Society carries fear-driven values and conventions from one generation to the next and the most essential question seems to be: a boy or a girl? Based on field recordings and interviews with couples awaiting their first baby a sound collage mingles with associative imagery shot at places that have in one way or another to do with birth. "reproduktion" is a subtle and sensitive analysis of gender reproduction and the influence of economical circumstances on which features and characteristics are considered to be favourable for a perfectly adapted human being.
