“My children often used to think of me. Why don’t they now?” wonders Facundina, an old aboriginal woman born “she’s not sure when,” in the south of Bolivia. Her childhood memories, the relationship with her deceased husband Candelario, the war, the birth of her children, the tough life in the hills and the constant trips across the border and back sometimes coincide with the pictures that her sons and daughters rescue from oblivion. Other times, they just don’t., Images and tales... a first-person narrative of scars that actually represent many anonymous people that travel around the paths of the Gran Chaco since more than a century ago, looking for a destination.
