Paolo Virno is one of the most influential figures in contemporary Italian Philosophy and a man with an eventful past. In a series of talks and walks through Rome, the film tries to trace the outlines of Virno's thinking and shed light on his past as an activist in the Italian Operaismo of the 70s. In this period Virno spent several years in prison, for being a member of Potere Operaio and, later on, Autonomia.
