Sinopse
Entering the city of Ramat Gan, two shepherds tend to a herd of sheep down a hill., This was a common scene of life as we knew it before the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948., However, not today. The sheep stop and look. The film adopts the imagined divine-naïve gaze of the sheep., A haphazard optimistic gaze. They see:, A barber whose father used to shave the king of Iraq, disputes over a parking ticket,, a watchmaker who recalls his days in a Communist youth movement in Russia an Indian costumed mother holding her child who masquerades as a Superhero emotional passersby who talk into their mobilephones, and many others. Half way through the film it may cross the viewers’ mind that underneath these seemingly joyful, and random descriptions, lies fear., A man, resembling an old prophet, barks into his mobile phone:, …“After you survived Buchenwald, Father, you said that the God of Israel Himself, exterminated the six million Jews. He Himself, not that German bastard with, the small moustache who acted on His behalf… Did you notice that we are now, six million Jews living in Israel? That number! Is He counting us again? “ The sheep return to the hill. They are followed by a row of people, gripping their mobile phones and facing the empty sky.
