A video project created for and shot with the i-phone camera, a discreet but penetrating medium that proposes a particular way to look at reality and find a modern aesthetic in moving pictures storytelling. It’s an intimate, underground video-diary of some Bangkok transexuals: nightlife, neon-lights, money, pleasure, dreams come to life trough their brief portraits. Not a social documentary but a visual text that tries to express an anthropological testimony on places and characters symbols of an Era of mutations, illusions and dualisms. The Thailand ladyboy is the biggest transexual community of the world (about 300000 people), and every year it’s growing up. The sex market is the first field of action of these strange and fascinating creatures who live in a dimension of a continuous showtime. The author creates an emotive connections with some ladyboys of Bangkok, most of them employed in the Nana Plaza bars, the best organized red district area of the city, trying to represent “the devil’s haircut”, a weird and magnetic mood that involves and matches between them men from east and west of the world.
