EMILIE is a short documentary about experimental tattoo artist Emilie Roby. Trained in fine arts, and self-taught in her craft, Emilie works at the rare intersection of contemporary art and tattoo. A hybrid documentary and tableau vivant, the film combines an analog audio recording of Emilie’s voice with a series of ‘living pictures’ of her past tattoo clients carefully staged within the spaces she inhabits.
