When Guzmán decided to make a film about love, he started at a dance party for old folks at a bar in Montevideo. He collected 11 stories from them, but realized that there‘s plenty they don‘t understand, either. The old-timers tell their love stories: Some were betrayed, and some couples were perfectly matched. The lovers who‘ve been together for a long time know what to expect from each other, and they‘ve grown closer along the way. Sometimes love is more friendship than passion. The stories have one lesson in common: Love can be complicated, but that doesn‘t mean it‘s not love.
