During 2008, a group of women living in Soacha, Colombia in a low income situation, denunced that their children with ages between 16 and 28 had been sold to the Colombian Army, being murdered by the army and presented to the media as positive cases of guerrilla and paramilitaries members being killed during combat. This story was totally aberrant; these mothers decided to "clean the name of their children" showing not only that their children were inocent but were also poor. The need to recover the honor of their children, converted five of these "mothers of Soacha" in Human Rights Defenders, they share their intimate feelings with what they call " Family Portraits" using this as a way to make the world know the truth about their children.
