A cross between video diary and city symphony, LATE WINTER is a first-person documentary shot mostly in and around the director's apartment and his Paris neighbourhood. A poetic exploration of the impermanence of things, the film attempts to capture the passing beauty and anxiety associated with a period of awaiting: the wait for the birth of the filmmaker’s child, the transition of his industrial neighbourhood into a residential one, the melting of ice covering the canal’s current, the preparation for mass flight by a flock of birds, the change of season.
