Sinopse
Everyday we are bombarded with images of war in the Middle-East. For the women of one family in Lebanon however, it is the larger than life billboards of perfect women along the main highway that occupy their minds. Marinelle, a popular Lebanese soap-opera actress draws her ideas of ‘beautiful’ from celebrities. Through cosmetic-surgery, she strives to become the best version of herself. Also all her aunts, friends and co-stars have had cosmetic surgery at least once in their lives. Marinelle is now again struggling in a decision to undergo a life-threatening face-lift. If she does not have it, her confidence at work will deteriorate, if she does, she feels may lose her identity forever.
An intimate story of one woman reveals how a culture of cosmetic surgery thrives; where the line is thinning between those of us that have had cosmetic surgery and those of us that have not.
