Cuba is congo and carabalí. The deep-rooted Yoruba religion in the island is amazing, and this is due, in big proportion, to the resistance of certain marginal area - some time ago slaved- to survive the fierce attack both colonial and cultural. Years of oppression and submission, the Yoruba religion bumped into one historic unprecedented event: The Revolution. The tension between this two universes long time existed for two decades until they began to coexist. This documentary, throughout this choral account, and the files of the revolution, travels The Habana, Trinidad, Sancti Spiritus and CIenfuegos, cities with deep-rooted religion. The life in Cuba is determined, most of it, for the existing syncretism of the afro-Cuban religions and the Catholic religion. IRÉ makes us think about another possible syncretism, the bond between politics and religion in Cuba.
