In Turkey, though unnamed, there is a war going on for many decades. The clashes seem to make the people hostile and enraged towards each other more and more. Right in this shambles we met two people: Banu and Gurbet. In 2006 Banu went on to an internet site, which was running a campaign called “Chose your Sibling” and chose Gurbet from Batman, mainly because of the meaning of her name. (Gurbet meaning “absence from home” in Turkish) When Banu’s family acts with deliberation and some of her friends try to argue her out of it, she says “I believe in the goodwill of people, even though the goodwill of people that I don’t know at all”
