A David & Goliath story of the Polish freedom movement told through the events of the football World Cup in Spain in 1982. Through rich, exclusive archival material, 3D animated photography, animated illustrations and creative interviews, the film presents experiences of the key players in the Polish football team, interlaced with accounts of the jailed members of the Solidarity movement, following the games on a TV screen. The football games, political struggles between communist government, political opposition and society culminate in the important victory against the Soviet Union.
