The tourist coasts of southern Europe aren’t only the continent seams, are also the seams of a system that apparently frays. In the idyllic beaches of Gran Canaria reverberate the contradictions of the great stage. Through the gaze of Ubay, a Canarian painter who lives in Berlin, it questions the idea of paradise involving the island, tourists, hotels, exotic gardens and illegal immigrants as part of the same postcard in times when everything seems to crack except the paradise, or at least its set.
