"You'd think that people would have had enough / Of silly love songs / I look around me and I see it isn't so", used to sing Paul McCartney. And those verses seem to guide Karin Idelson´s camera in this exploration of, some might say, "popular applications" of romantic songs. Cumbia, soft-rock, reggaeton, pop, ballads, and hits from the '80s and from before as well: the music is in the city´s air, and "Canción de amor" caught it in the places where it is so naturalized that we almost do not pay attention. But also, and especially, in the most hidden or unusual ones.
