In 1958, Alberto Angeleri took part in the second Argentine expedition which planned to make summit on the live volcano, which was considered at that moment as the highest in the world. Reaching 6.800 meters above sea level he fell asleep due to the effects of the altitude and while the rest of the expedition was reaching summit, he woke up totally lost, falling head first and plummeting through the ice of a glacier. He spent the 10 days rest walking and crawling through stone. With no food, no water and sleeping out in the open with 20º below zero. He had many hallucinations, suffered desperation, frostbites, he felt he was going to die. But he never gave up fighting for his life.
