This film chronicles the candid conversations, training and fights that take place during the summer of 2010 as she trains to compete in for the Amateur World Championship title in Des Moines. Interspersed with the ring fights are recreations of femme heroine fantasy scenes from 60's and 70's television. Providing a glimpse of what it takes to rise through the ranks of female fighters while contrasting the fantastical scenes of super-heroines, the film produces frank and often humorous insights into Dorothy’s unique life, passion and personality.
