Sinopse
In 2005, the president of the Republic of Congo announces he wants to transfer the remains of the 19th century pacifist explorer Pietro Savorgnan di Brazza from his grave in Algiers to a multi-million dollar marble mausoleum in Congo's impoverished capital, Brazzaville. When Idanna Pucci discovers the hidden agenda behind the Congolese strongman’s plan, she enters a world of violence, corruption, and skullduggery. In this David-and-Goliath thriller, she battles to save the great African spiritual leader, Makoko, and defend her ancestor’s ideals. In the film, dazzling animation and masterful puppetry bring Brazza’s surprising history to light; while original footage shot on location in Congo, Gabon, and IT narrates Idanna’s daring struggle for justice. Told with biting irony, this suspenseful adventure sheds stark light on the tragic colonial past and today’s betrayals of traditions in Central Africa by ruthless rulers.
