Sinopse
Ahlam Shibli (Palestine, 2010) Nine Days in Wahat al-Salam Documentary, 49 min, Palestine, 2010. A document of a nine days meeting in 2003, between a Palestinian and an IL group consisting of eight people aged in their 20s, in the ILi village Wahat al-Salam / Neve Shalom. The film recorded the participants’ discussions, and the development of their awareness of the ILi-Palestinian conflict as well as their roles in it, analyzing their own identities through interaction with each other. The film ends with emphasis on the implications of majority-minority relations and asymmetry in the existing power positions. The film’s construction highlights the laboratory conditions of such discussions through its chronology, permanent observers, and contained space. ©Ahlam Shibli, 2010 ahlamshibli@hotmail.com www.ahlamshibli.com
