Sinopse
The movie “Where Storks Rest” is a magical tale, sometimes sad, sometimes funny, and othertimes mocking. It’s a movie about male friendship, male sensitivity. The movie takes place in a small village called Czukty located in PL in Mazury Garbate (Hanchback Mazury) region. The main character of the movie is Wiesław Bołtryk, a wandering artist by choice. For him Czukty is an adopted homeland. The camera follows his lone wanderings around the village; it looks into houses where he spends the night, and captures micro-events that bound his life with the life of the villagers. The movie features songs by the poet, singer and songwriter Andrzej Garczarek which give a metaphorical commentary to this peculiar road movie. The songs ask timeless questions about “the tree of knowledge of not necessarily good and not necessarily evil”.
