Sinopse
This film speaks of archaic peoples, their customs and mores, in an attempt to make the last snapshots of their traditional lifestyles before they are gone for good. The protagonists of this film – the Bushmen, Pygmies, Surma and Hamer, Berbers and Himba, Yoruba and Dogon – live beyond the passage of time, doing their best to preserve ancestral traditions, believing in their gods and protecting their fragile world from the growing pressure of globalization. This film is a declaration of love for Africa, the cradle of humankind. But it is also an appeal to Africans to forgive us – for the progress that sows not only the good things….. Day by day, they are rapidly disappearing, those who still live “beyond the passage of time”: Nomadic Berbers (MA): 600,000 Dogon (Mali): 500,000 Hamer (Ethiopia): 40, 000 Baka Pygmies (CM): 30,000 Surma (Ethiopia): 30,000 Himba (Namibia): 10,000 Bushmen (Botswana): feer than 400 in the Kalahari desert.
